A Contemporary Upgrade Built Around Family & Entertaining

Since purchasing this traditional New England style home in 2010, Kris C. and her husband dreamed of a renovation that would better fit their modern style and their family’s active lifestyle. Bringing this vision to reality was the ABRN teams’ goal for the transformation. 

The project featured a complete redesign of the first-floor interior by creating an open floor plan with a stunning floating staircase, a large eat-in kitchen that included an oversized island, quartz countertops, custom walnut cabinetry with push-touch hardware and high-end appliances. Perfect for preparing meals, family gatherings, and entertaining, the thoughtful design even hints at space separation for a more formal dining and seating area, while keeping the space completely open.  

Renovations in the family room included adding an a-symmetrical fireplace wall with a stunning two-sided fireplace. Large windows strategically placed allow light to flood the space, maximizing natural lighting throughout the day. High-end touches such as the back-painted backsplash, Italian porcelain floors, and custom Lutron lighting add to the modern aesthetic, while features like radiant floor heating add comfort and efficiency.
